Charlotte Moody, RN on 3-Main, received the Excellence in Nursing Award.
Memorial Satilla Health is proud to recognize five of our team members as facility recipients of HCA Healthcare's Awards of Distinction - Naven Evans, Charlotte Moody, Debbie Cannon, Stacey Bennett and Beth Rogers.
HCA Healthcare has a long tradition of celebrating and commending individuals for their contributions to their communities and our organization through the Frist Humanitarian Award, Innovators Award and, most recently, Excellence in Nursing Award.
“These awards honor exceptional individuals whose professional and personal lives reflect the patient- centered, entrepreneurial and humanitarian values upon which HCA Healthcare was founded. The exemplary service and selflessness of each recipient challenges and inspires us all to live and preserve our company's mission of caring for and improving human life,” said Dale Neely, CEO.
Naven Evans was nominated for the Innovators Award for advancing our mission through innovation. He has served as a monitor tech at Memorial Satilla for 3 years. Naven was nominated for the award by 11 of his coworkers and leaders.
“Naven’s pride and ownership in our success is very motivating for everyone around him. It is Naven’s nature to treat each person he interacts with a great deal of kindness and compassion,” one nominator wrote.
Charlotte Moody was nominated for the Excellence in Nursing Award. She is an RN on 3-Main and has been part of this team for 19 years.
“Charlotte demonstrates concern for the welfare and happiness of her patients with a level of commitment to the community services beyond her daily obligations as an employee at this facility,” said her nominator.
Debbie Cannon was also nominated for the Excellence in Nursing Award. She is an RN in the NICU and has been part of this team for 45+ years.
“Debbie takes initiative, demonstrating great leadership in advocating for her patients and for the profession of nursing. Debbie is a mentor for new nurses and a positive supporter of all of her coworkers,” said her nominator.
Stacey Bennett was nominated for the Frist Humanitarian Award. She is a unit secretary on 2-Main and has been with our team for five years.
“Stacey demonstrates concern for the welfare and happiness of her patients and she has a level of commitment to the community she serves beyond her daily obligations as an employee at our facility,” her nominator wrote.
Beth Rogers was also nominated for the Frist Humanitarian Award. She is a volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary and worked as a laboratory director at Memorial Satilla for 25+ years. Beth is known to everyone who has donated blood as the “Pound Cake Lady” because she provides everyone who donates a small pound cake.
“Beth Rogers truly loves her community and we appreciate her tireless efforts to make our area a better place to live. She embodies our mission by trying to help improve the lives of others through her many giving efforts,” said her nominator.
HCA Healthcare’s Awards of Distinction are presented annually in recognition of team members who provide the highest quality care to the patients we serve and to those who give exemplary service to the community and those in need.
