On any given day Detective Jacob Royal is coming to the aid of others in emergent situations, but last week he had one of his own.
On Friday, the Blackshear police officer presented to Memorial Satilla Health’s Emergency Room unable to walk after suffering a brown recluse spider bite two days before. After spending a couple nights at Memorial Satilla, Jacob was feeling great, and ready to head back to work.
“I was well taken care of,” Jacob says. “Everyone was very knowledgeable and checked in on me often.”
Jacob gave a shout out to the ER team, his nurses and doctors on 3-main and the dietary staff. “I had a really good experience,” he said.
