Heart and vascular procedures

We offer a full range of treatments for heart and vascular conditions. Using diagnostic tools, such as cardiac catheterizations, electrocardiograms (EKG), echocardiograms (ECHO), exercise stress tests and nuclear studies, our cardiac experts search for signs of heart and blood vessel disease.

Together, our cardiologists, cardiovascular nurses, radiology technologists and nuclear technologists perform more than 1,100 cardiac catheterizations each year, as well as other heart and vascular surgeries.

Emergency cardiovascular care

Our cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab) is prepared 24/7 to respond immediately to cardiac emergencies, such as a heart attack. Cardiologists and nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) provide rapid response care for patients experiencing heart problems.

Patients experiencing a heart attack are taken to the cath lab for immediate intervention. Our heart experts work to open up blocked arteries and restore normal blood flow.

Signs of a heart attack

If you or a loved one is experiencing a heart attack, it's critical to act as quickly as possible and seek emergency care. According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), symptoms of a heart attack include:

  • Discomfort or pain in the back, jaw or neck
  • Discomfort or pain in your chest
  • Discomfort or pain on one or both shoulders or arms
  • Feeling light-headed, weak or faint
  • Shortness of breath
If you or a loved one is experiencing heart attack symptoms, call 911 immediately.

Cardiac rehabilitation

After a cardiovascular diagnosis, cardiac event or heart surgery, patients often require rehabilitation to rebuild their heart’s strength and endurance. Our pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation program offers a personalized therapy regime for each patient.
