Memorial Satilla ranked ninth in 'Top Medium-Sized Hospitals' by Georgia Trend

Georgia Trend has ranked Memorial Satilla Health as a ‘Top Medium-Sized Hospital’ for 2024. The annual report highlights trailblazers in healthcare based on the size and type of facility. Memorial Satilla is ninth in the ranking.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as one of the top ten medium-sized hospitals in the state by Georgia Trend. This achievement reflects our team’s unwavering commitment to provide exceptional care, innovative solutions, and a patient-centered approach. It’s an honor to serve our community with such excellence, and we remain committed to raising the bar even higher,” said Dale Neely, CEO.

Each year, Georgia Trend evaluates Georgia hospitals that participated in the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Value-Based Purchasing program. The hospitals are ranked by their total performance score which is derived from four domains: clinical outcomes, community engagement, safety and efficiency, and cost reduction.

The report sorts hospitals into four categories: teaching hospitals, large hospitals (250+ patient beds), medium hospitals (100-249 beds) and small hospitals (less than 100 beds).

“This recognition not only validates our ongoing efforts to exceed national standards for quality, safety and patient-centered care, but also inspires us to continue driving improvements that positively impact the health and well-being of our community. It’s a proud moment for everyone at Memorial Satilla,” said Brandi Waters, vice president of quality.

Georgia Trend’s rankings are based on the American Hospital Directory and CMS data released July 31, 2024.

Memorial Satilla Health is not the only HCA Healthcare facility to make the list. Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga was ranked first in the Top Medium Hospitals list. In total, four HCA-owned Georgia hospitals are included in the report. To view the full report, visit the Georgia Trend website and search for ‘top hospitals in Georgia.’
